Aden, NewsYemen:

The head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Muhammad al-Ghaithi, said that the region's peace efforts have reached a dead end due to the intransigence of the terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen.

Al-Ghaithi stressed, during his presidency, on Tuesday, a video meeting of the presidency of the Commission, that the dangerous military escalation and mobilization carried out by the militias on various fronts and lines of contact, and the seriousness of what is happening simultaneously with that of unprecedented economic and humanitarian deterioration portends a real disaster that requires exceptional and very urgent solutions.

According to the state-run Saba Agency, the meeting, in which the commission's deputies, Dr. Abdul-Malik al-Mikhlafi, Sakhr al-Wajih, Jamila Ali Raja, Judge Akram al-Amiri, and members of the commission participated, discussed a draft of the commission's goals and strategy.

The commission approved the start of implementing the mechanism for forming permanent committees established by the internal regulations of the commission in accordance with the stipulated criteria, which are the political committee, the cultural and media committee, the reconciliation and transitional justice committee, the social committee, and the committee on rights and freedoms, where the presidency of the commission conducts its contacts with the political components and members of the commission to ensure  Fair and effective participation for all, leading to an integrated and organized work within the Commission.

The Consultation and Reconciliation Commission stressed the need for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the brothers in the Arab coalition to assume their responsibilities towards the military escalation of the Houthi militia, stressing that the Houthis will not accept peace without firmness and deterrent measures for what is happening.

The Commission also warned of the continued economic deterioration in the country, calling on brothers and friends to fulfill their obligations towards Yemen, the Leadership Council and the government and to take urgent and serious measures before a collapse occurs that makes it difficult to implement any reforms.

The authority called for the implementation of the decision of the National Defense Council in October 2022, noting that failure to implement the measures after targeting economic objects and stopping the export of oil derivatives is a mistake that must be remedied, and that this has serious responsibilities and consequences.
