The move of the governor of Al-Jawf, Major General Hussein Al-Awadi, to launch his duties from within the Al-Wadiah border crossing, disturbed the leaders of the Islah Party (the Yemeni Brotherhood) in Al-Jawf Governorate, which is still rebelling against the decision to appoint him to this position.

As the Brotherhood rushed to attack Al-Awadi's step, by issuing a statement in the name of "the battles" of the Bakil and Dahm tribes, and publishing it on the group's websites, on Thursday evening, vowing to respond to this step.

Private sources revealed to "NewsYemen" that the alleged statement was drafted in a meeting that included Muslim Brotherhood leaders present in Saudi Arabia. It was held in the evening at the house of the Secretary-General of the Islah Party branch in Al-Jawf, Saeed Ayyash, in Riyadh.

The sources indicated that the Brotherhood leaders are taking advantage of their presence in Saudi Arabia to manage their rebellion against the decisions of the Presidential Leadership Council and against the efforts of the Arab coalition to arrange the situation in Al-Jawf Governorate and try to restore it from the grip of the Houthi militia.

The sources reminded of the allegations and lies propagated by Brotherhood leaders to justify their rebellion in Al-Jawf by placing Saudi Arabia’s former Brotherhood governor, Amin al-Akimi, under house arrest, while she and al-Akimi enjoy freedom of residence in Saudi Arabia, and even exploit it to act against the direction of the Arab coalition in Yemen.

In the context of the Brotherhood's reactions to Al-Awadi's step, social media witnessed remarkable activity for fake accounts that promoted rumors that the Presidential Council had issued a decision to annex the Al-Wadiah crossing administratively affiliated to Hadramout Governorate to Al-Jawf Governorate, and to hand it over to Governor Al-Awadi.

It was clear that these accounts were trying to exploit the tense situation in Hadramout governorate recently, against the backdrop of popular demands for the removal of the forces of the First Military Region, which is under the control of the Brotherhood, and the repeated demands for the return of control of the Al-Wadiah port to the local authority in Hadramout.

A private source denied to "Newsyemen" the validity of these allegations, stressing that the administrative status of the deposit is still under Hadramout, pointing out that the step of moving Al-Awadi to the port came after recent meetings and understandings in Riyadh.

Referring to the meeting that brought together Governor Al-Awadi with a member of the President of the Presidential Council - President of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi in Riyadh, as well as the meeting that brought together Major General Al-Awadi with the Governor of Hadramout Mabkhout bin Madi with the President of the Presidential Leadership Council during the past weeks.

The source said that these meetings were part of the preparatory preparations for Major General Al-Awadi’s transfer to work from the Republican Palace in Al-Wadiah, after he was unable to move to the temporary headquarters of the local authority in Al-Jawf in the city of Marib, which had previously expelled the government committee in charge of the process of receiving and handing over from within it by gunmen led by Abdullah Al-Hashidi.
