Abyan, newsyemen, private:

An audio recording of the former Minister of Interior, "Ahmed Al-Maysari" (who resides in the Omani capital, Muscat), sparked widespread controversy after he supported Al-Qaeda operations in Abyan Governorate against the southern forces.

Al-Maysari - a member of what is known as the Muscat Cell, which opposes the coalition and the Presidential Council, and which no longer hides its support for the Houthi group - came out in a new audio recording full of contradictions, in which he supported the operations carried out by Al-Qaeda against the southern forces in the regions of eastern Abyan.

Al-Maysari, in his audio recording, denied the presence of al-Qaeda in Abyan and said: The organization has ended a long time ago, forgetting that the organization, through all its pages and websites, publishes pictures of the perpetrators of its operations against the southern forces in Abyan.

The recording, which came out in light of the great support of the Muscat Cell for the Houthi group and the cell's intense campaigns against the Presidential Council, confirms that the goal is to demonize and thwart the real forces fighting the Iranian arm, which has become semi-officially supporting terrorist groups to destabilize the security of the south.

The sacrifices of the "arrows of the East" were great and their victories greater, as the campaign was able to purify the most important camps of the organization in Yemen in general, especially the camps of Omran and Mujan, and all of these victories and sacrifices were underestimated by Al-Maysari.  Who suffered from the fire of terrorism and who made more sacrifices in this campaign.

Al-Maysari tried to sow discord between the leadership of the Presidential Council by claiming Al-Alimi's rejection of the campaign and Al-Zubaidi's willingness to implement it alone. He also attacked the United Arab Emirates for standing behind the "Sharp Arrows" campaign, which many considered a source of pride for Al-Zubaidi and Abu Dhabi, a sincere ally in the fight against terrorism, by purging Abyan governorate from extremist groups that  It officially acknowledged losing the most important areas of its control, with reference to the support of all members of the Leadership Council for the campaign and their blessing for its victories and condolences for its victims.

Al-Maysari called, during the audio recording, on the tribes of Abyan to rise up against the forces that secure the governorate and defend it, but this call did not receive any response.

Al-Maysari held the position of Minister of the Interior for years when Abyan was under the control of Al-Qaeda, and assassinations targeted military and tribal figures on a continuous basis, and he was not directed to purify them. Southerners also accuse the minister close to the Brotherhood of bringing known terrorist elements to Abyan to be within his guard, and perhaps among them is his guard leader, the leader in the organization.  Al-Khidr is Jadib.

This is not the only time that the "Muscat Cell" supports terrorist groups, as it has previously supported them in the governorates of Shabwa, Hadramout and Lahj, and it has falsified the reality that everyone knows.
