Aidarous Al-Zubaidi: The return of the south to its people and Yemen to its Arab incubator

Member of the Leading Presidency Council, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, announced in the opening session of the General Assembly the procedures for restructuring the Council, "include change and expansion."

He called on all Yemeni forces to organize their ranks against the terrorist Houthi militia, stressing that they will always be on their side.

He also called on all Yemeni political forces, components and elites to unite their ranks through a serious and genuine dialogue that addresses the causes of the conflict in the north, and said: "We will be on their side in what is in their interest, whether peace or war."

Al-Zubaidi said that the requirements of the stage require everyone to cooperate and intensify to pull the country out of its current situation and revive the economic situation.

 He added, “We in the Presidential Council were keen to put reforming living conditions in the capital, Aden, at the forefront of our priorities, and our keenness with our brothers in the Gulf countries to fix urgent files in the southern governorates, stressing that their strategic partnership with the Arab coalition continues to represent the south in a modern international partnership.”

He stressed that the southern gains are protected by the will of the people, and said: Representing the south is not easy, and we have overcome it by the will of the people.

He said, within the framework of our support for the armistice comes the necessity of forming a joint negotiating delegation in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement, noting that they were keen with their partners in the region to secure the international shipping line in Bab al-Mandab.

 He reiterated that the homeland is for all southerners without exception, and that everyone must mobilize energies and efforts towards a more solid national solidarity that enhances and protects our national gains and preserves the sacrifices of our martyrs, adding: We broke all kinds of plots with the pure blood of our martyrs and dealt with various circumstances and developments.

He thanked the external dialogue team that made efforts to communicate with all the elites and components, and today it is time for a parallel dialogue with the interior to translate the joint southern contacts into a national honor charter that is agreed upon with all southern forces and components.

He called for a comprehensive peace that guarantees the restoration of the state of the south to its people and the return of Yemen to its Arab incubator.
